Live data roadmap

From one inbox of live proposals to real votes across DeFi

Where Proxa's live governance data stands today, what each phase adds, and how big DeFi protocols with their own governance systems, starting with Aave, plug in.

Short answer

Yes. The public site now reads real proposals from Snapshot for any DAO, including Aave's Snapshot space, and real on-chain votes from Uniswap, ENS, Compound and Arbitrum. Phase 1 is mostly done; phase 2 adds Aave's on-chain governance.

Five phases, in the order they unlock each other

Week estimates assume a small team working on Proxa full time and are a planning guide, not a promise. Phases 2 and 3 overlap on purpose.

Phase 1 · mostly doneWeeks 1–2

Live on-chain data on the public site

  • Done: the on-chain reader runs as a Vercel function, cached for a minute at the edge.
  • Done: public RPCs that allow wide log searches, with a bundled seed as a fallback.
  • Next: your own RPC keys in Vercel, and more DAOs on the standard Governor contract.

Statusproxa-app.vercel.app shows Uniswap, ENS, Compound and Arbitrum on-chain votes, refreshed every minute.

Phase 2Weeks 3–6

Big DeFi governance, starting with Aave

  • One adapter per custom system. Aave Governance V3 first (see below).
  • Then Lido, Sky, Curve and Optimism, ordered by how many Proxa users hold each token.
  • Link each off-chain signal vote to its on-chain proposal, so one DAO shows one timeline.

Phase 3Weeks 6–10

Forums and AI briefs

  • Read the forum thread behind each proposal.
  • Generate the neutral brief with Claude: what changes, who gains, who pays, arguments both ways.
  • Extract the facts rules need (inflation rate, spend, recipient), so every rule type works on live data.
  • First version of conflict-of-interest flags.

Done whenevery live proposal has a brief, and briefs pass a neutrality review on a test set.

Phase 4Weeks 10–14

Wallet connection and real voting

  • Connect a wallet and read real holdings and voting power.
  • Signed Snapshot votes, then on-chain votes through delegation that can be revoked at any time.
  • Independent security review before any real vote is sent.

Done whenReview and Autopilot cast real votes, with receipts that link the transaction.

Phase 5Weeks 15+

Analytics for DAOs

  • Turnout by proposal and by holder size.
  • Published briefs for a DAO's community.
  • Delegate tools for a public voting record.

Done whena first DAO is using the analytics on its own proposals.

Integration deep dive

How Aave plugs in

Aave doesn't use the standard Governor contract. In Governance V3, proposals live on Ethereum, but each proposal is voted on a separate voting network, with token balances proven from Ethereum. So Proxa needs a dedicated Aave adapter, and RPC access to every voting network.

Aave proposal lifecycleWhat Proxa reads at each stage
Stage 1

Forum discussion

An idea is discussed on Aave's governance forum before any vote.

Phase 3
Stage 2

Snapshot signal vote

An off-chain vote in the aavedao.eth space checks support.

Stage 3

On-chain proposal (AIP)

Created on Ethereum, the core network, which records voting power at a fixed block.

Phase 2
Stage 4

Vote on a voting network

Holders vote on the proposal's chosen network, then the result goes back for execution.

Phase 2
What the adapter does

Reads new AIPs and their state from Ethereum, follows each one to its voting network for the live For and Against tally, and links it to the matching Snapshot vote, so Aave shows as one timeline.

What it needs

RPC access to Ethereum, Polygon and Avalanche, the Aave contract addresses taken from Aave's own published address list, and tests against past AIPs.

Voting later

Aave lets holders delegate voting power, so in phase 4 a holder can delegate to Proxa, keep their tokens, and revoke at any time. The exact trust model is an open decision.

Dependencies and open decisions

What has to be true for this to ship

Hosting

Done for Governor contracts: Vercel functions with edge caching. Aave's multi-network reads may still need a database cache.

RPC providers

Paid plans for Ethereum, Arbitrum, Polygon and Avalanche. Free plans limit log searches too much to find proposals.

AI briefs

A Claude API key on the server, a neutrality test set, and a review step before briefs reach users.

Security and legal

An independent security review before real votes, and legal advice on vote delegation and on how $PROXA relates to the product.

Per-protocol work

Every custom governance system is its own integration. The order in phase 2 should follow what users actually hold.

Open decision

How voting works in phase 4: delegation to a Proxa address, or votes signed in the user's own wallet each time.
